Important Security Update
Biscom has found and patched a vulnerability in its Secure File Transfer product. Affected versions are 5.0.0000 through 5.0.1048. The vulnerability is fixed in version 5.0.1050. SFT versions 4.x and earlier are not affected. We strongly recommend customers update their SFT Servers to fix the vulnerability.
The vulnerability makes it possible for a registered user with the ability to send files to gain access to files he or she is not permitted access. The vulnerability cannot be exploited by someone not already an SFT user. Only users with the ability to send files can exploit this vulnerability.
This vulnerability was discovered during security testing and there are no known cases of it being exploited outside of the security test that discovered it.
